Stumbled upon this 1974 German film in IMDB called “Ali: Fear Eats the Soul”. The story revolves around the sudden relationship of an old German lady with a younger Arab worker and the challenges they face in their society.
There was something simple yet strikingly notable about Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s directorial style. It lets you focus on the actions (or the lack of it) of the protagonists in a theatrical way. Would definitely love to see more of Fassbinder’s films and compare it with this one.
