Tick tock

Lately, I’ve been feeling like I need to run around chasing time – which I know only doubles the stress I’m already dealing with on a daily basis.

I want to do so many things and “live life” instead of enslaving myself with how the “real world” works.

I don’t want to be contained inside the four walls of the room. Instead, I want to run free, go wherever I want to go and discover whatever it is in life that I need to discover.

I don’t want to settle for the norm, the required, the musts.

The question is how?

Go for green

I always remind myself to live a green lifestyle, especially after Ondoy but sometimes convenience gets in the way. I bring my own bag when doing groceries but sometimes, when I’ve shopped for too much, there’s no option but to go for plastic bags. During office breaks, I always end up hoarding little plastic bags.

Today was different. I went out and saw a jacket Eugene was eyeing before. It was on sale so I decided to purchase it. I asked the saleslady not to put it in a plastic bag anymore but said she had to for security reasons.

Snooze

Since the start of the year, I’ve been sleeping way too late. I guess you could say I have an overdue case of New Year’s Eve hangover. I’ve been having trouble sleeping. I’m still up and about even if I’ve been awake all day. Worse, I try to sleep and end up lying wide awake.

Hmm, somebody needs re-conditioning. The only problem is I don’t know how or where to start. I don’t even drink coffee on a regular basis. But yeah, I’m back on Coke. So I guess no more late night Coke binges.

If only that’s possible.

Something new

It isn’t everyday that we get to try something new. Sometimes, work takes over and everything simply becomes routine. Thankfully, there are pretty days when we get to loosen up the work strings and do something beyond whatever task it is we needed to finish within the day.

I don’t understand people who find happiness in perfecting yet another regular day. I’m itching to get out of the crazy loop and create something new and meaningful.

They say time slows down when you’re having fun. Ordinary days quickly pass by. Glad to report today was a long day. Good night!
